Types of Flowers – So Many Different Types

            Some are harvested for their scent; they are processed in to lotions, candles & other products to make the best use of their scent. Some flowers have a way more powerful scent than others, Roses are a lovely example of a versatile species that has an fabulous scent. Lots of perfumes are derived from them & is either processed using a flower or is manufactured to smell like.<br /><br />There are lots of types of flowers. Most people are familiar with the common types of flowers, like roses & lilies or carnations. There's some exotic species. They are classified using different genus & species much like animals are classified, & they are used in all types of applications & continue to be shared & adored for their beauty. Some are used for their beauty but others have much more purpose than a place to look. You can also search  on the internet. <br /><br />Some have a double life. The flowers or parts of the plants may have medicinal purposes. There's thought to have anti viral properties, & are thought to enhance the immune process. Some of these types of are common & are often grown in home gardens. Chinese medicine depends heavily on natural cures & flowers are often used in elixirs & teas to calm & heal. Western culture is comparatively new to using flowers in medicine but the trend has picked up in the last few years.<br /><br />There's flowers that are used as symbols by lots of different cultures. There's those that are used to express love & sorrow. They have been used as symbols since the beginning of time. Roses are usually shared between lovers as a symbol of endearing love. Positive species are associated with purity. There's those that are believed by positive cultures to represent lovely luck. You can also search types of flowers on the internet. <br /><br />There's flowers that are used in salads & to decorate other dishes. The petals of some are eatable & are added to dishes to add color & some flavor.<br /><br />Some are poisonous not only to humans but to animals as well. The petals, leaves & stems may cause immediate discomfort to those that mistakenly ingest any part. Some are poisonous not to human & animals but to insects, these are harvested & used to make natural insect repellent & is used as a lice treatment.<br /><br />There's lots of types of flowers & lots of of them function beyond what most people think about flowers.
